This website is hosted on our behalf by Dynamity, sole proprietor Hendrik Friedel. The servers are located in a data center operated by Hetzner Online GmbH (Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen) at the Nuremberg, Germany site. No US cloud is used. When you visit the pages, the server automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser transmits automatically:

• anonymized or shortened IP address of the requesting device
• date and time of access
• name and URL of the file retrieved
• browser type used and, where applicable, the operating system
• the website from which the access originates (referrer URL)

The processing is carried out on the basis of our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in a technically error-free and secure operation of the website. The data is not merged with other data sources and is deleted after a short time, unless it is required to investigate misuse or malfunctions.

A data processing agreement (DPA) pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with Dynamity; Hetzner is engaged as a sub-processor. Processing takes place exclusively on servers in Germany.

For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, this site uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the fact that the browser's address bar begins with “https://”. When encryption is active, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

For a consistent appearance we use the fonts “Plus Jakarta Sans” and “IBM Plex Mono”. These are served exclusively and locally from our server. There is no connection to servers operated by Google or other third parties; in particular, your IP address is not transmitted to any third party in this process.

If you contact us by e-mail or phone, your details are stored by us for the purpose of processing the inquiry and in case of follow-up questions. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding to your inquiry) or Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, where your inquiry is aimed at concluding a contract. We do not pass this data on without your consent and delete it as soon as it is no longer required to achieve the purpose and no statutory retention obligations prevent deletion.

When you sign up for our newsletter, we process your e-mail address as well as technical data to log the sign-up (the time of sign-up and of confirmation, and the IP address used in the process). This data serves solely to send the newsletter and to provide evidence of your consent.

Sign-up takes place via the double opt-in procedure: after you register, you receive an e-mail asking you to confirm the sign-up. Only after your confirmation do we add you to the distribution list. This ensures that no one can sign you up without your knowledge.

The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time with effect for the future, for example via the unsubscribe link at the end of every newsletter e-mail or by sending a message to the contact details listed under section 01. The lawfulness of the processing carried out up to the withdrawal remains unaffected.

For sending and managing contacts we use Brevo, a service of Brevo GmbH (Köpenicker Straße 126, 10179 Berlin) and Brevo SAS (7 rue de Madrid, 75008 Paris, France). Brevo is a provider with servers in the European Union; your data is processed on servers within the EU. A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with Brevo; Brevo processes your data exclusively on our instructions and not for its own purposes. Through our demo form you can request a personal product demo. In doing so, we process the data you provide: first and last name, business e-mail address, phone number, company name, your role, company size, industry, and your description of the use case.

We use this data to assess your request, prepare the demo, and contact you. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (taking steps prior to entering into a contract at your request) as well as our legitimate interest in processing and pre-qualifying requests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

The data is stored in our contact management system at Brevo (for the provider, EU hosting, and data processing, see section 07). Inclusion in the newsletter from within the form only takes place if you expressly and separately consent there; even then, the double opt-in procedure described under section 07 applies. We delete the data as soon as it is no longer required to achieve the purpose and no statutory retention obligations prevent deletion; you may request erasure or object at any time.

Our website contains links to our profiles on LinkedIn and Instagram. These are simple references (hyperlinks), not embedded components, so merely visiting our page does not transmit any data to these platforms. Only when you actively click a link do you reach the respective platform, for whose data processing the respective provider is responsible.

Without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial remedy, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority if you consider that the processing of your personal data infringes the GDPR. The competent authorities include the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia (www.ldi.nrw.de).

On our home page we embed a company video via the service Vimeo, operated by Vimeo.com, Inc. (330 West 34th Street, New York, NY 10001, USA). When you open the page, your browser connects to Vimeo's servers; technical data, in particular your IP address, browser and device information, and the date and time, is transferred to Vimeo. Vimeo may set cookies or use comparable technologies in the process.

The transfer goes to servers in the USA. Vimeo is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; in addition, the EU Standard Contractual Clauses serve as the basis for the transfer. A residual risk of access by US authorities can nonetheless not be entirely ruled out.
